Eligibility and Requirements
An applicant must:
- Be a current student or graduate of Bachelor’s (3rd year or higher), Master’s, or Doctorate degree program outside of Japan. A high school student is not eligible for this program.
- Submit ALL required documents to apply for the session by the designated application deadline.
Required documents
- An OFFICIAL Academic Transcript and a Grading Scale from the applicant’s home institution
The minimum academic requirement is GPA 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.
*If the official transcript is not written in English, please attach an English translation to the original transcript.
The submitted transcript must include a record of at least one semester with grades. - Passport Copy
- Color Headshot (taken within the last 3 months)
- English Proficiency Test Score (if available)
Selection Process
Applications will be screened by Sophia Short-term program committee based on the submitted documents.
