AED（自動体外式除細動器）とは

AEDは、心臓がけいれんし血液を流すポンプ機能を失った状態（心室細動）になったとき、心臓に電気ショックを与え、正常なリズムに戻すための医療機器です。
2004年7月から一般市民でも使用できるようになり、市民マラソン大会などでの救命事例も報道されています。AEDは音声ガイドで操作方法を案内してくれますので、指示に従えば誰でも使用することができます。

AED（automated external defibrillators） is a portable electronic device that is able to treat life threatening heart conditions through defibrillation. It gives you voice instructions, and you can operate it by following the instruction. We have five AEDs on Yotsuya campus. There is one in the security office at each gate, Main, East, and North Gate. There is also one at the basement floor of the gym, where the swimming pool is, and we have one at the Health Center, as well.
