General Information for Research Students
There are two categories on Research Student System.
1.Foreign Special Research Student
(foreign students only)
(1)Foreign special research students are enrolled in the Graduate School Master’s program for the purpose of receiving education in specific fields of study.
(2)Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent at the time of matriculation.
2.Research Student
(Japanese and foreign students)
(1)Unlike regular students enrolled in the Graduate School of Sophia University, research students are enrolled in the Graduate School Doctoral Program solely for the purpose of receiving instruction in specific fields of study.
(2)Applicants must obtain the permission from the instructor in a field you wish to carry out your research prior to submitting application.
(3)Applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent at the time of matriculation.
