JASSO Student Exchange Support Program
The Student Exchange Support Program provided by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) is a scholarship for qualified international students to help them with their study and research expenses in Japan.
JASSO scholarship has been granted to Sophia University by the Japanese government over the past years, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee that the scholarship will be granted next year as well.
Sophia University may also provide Scholarship from own budget in the same condition.
To receive the monthly stipend, recipient must sign in at the office each month during the designated period of time. The stipend will be remitted to the recipient’s bank account the following month.
e.g., A stipend signed in April will be paid in May.

Partner institutions will receive information about nomination and application procedure in July for September entry and in February for April entry. (Sophia will not send the information directly to students.)
For scholarship nomination qualifications, please refer to the application guidelines sent to the partner institutions.
