Sophia Edagawa Men’s Dormitory
A conveniently located single-room men’s dormitory where residents enjoy connecting and growing together.
This dormitory provides private room with a mini-kitchen allowing residents to cook meal by themselves freely. Manager stays inside the dormitory and helps students with daily life matter. This dormitory is also recommended for graduate students because of its private space and easy access to the university.
Feature and Concept
Each private room is designed in a style similar to a typical studio apartment, ensuring a comfortable and well-defined personal space.
Residents can focus on their studies in a quiet environment while also enjoying time to themselves.
The community room is equipped with facilities such as Wi-Fi, a projector, speakers, and table tennis, and is available for residents to relax, study, or spend time freely in their own way.
It also serves as a venue for various events, including welcome gatherings for new residents, providing valuable opportunities to connect and build friendships within the community.

The following are the rules and regulations, living guide of the dormitory. Please check the contents carefully before applying.
Residence Period
The maximum residence period is 1 year. Residence period may be extended if approved by the Director of Center for Student Affairs.
Facilities and Loom Layout
Room: 78 rooms (24 m²) *men’s dormitory
Room facilities: Air-conditioner, bed, closet, compact kitchen unit, bathroom, toilet, washstands, desk, chair, bookshelf are furnished.
Manager is on-site. No meal service provided.

Dormitory Fees
*Dormitory fees will be revised in FY2027. Dormitory fees are subject to change each year.
Dormitory Fees for FY2026
Entrance Fee (Once when moving-in; No refund) 70,000 yen
Monthly Fee (Internet costs included) 70,000 yen
*Utility costs are to be contracted individually with service providers and will be paid according to actual usage.
*Regarding dormitory fees for the months of move-in and move-out:
■ Move-in Month
① Spring Semester Move-in
Regardless of the actual move-in date (the date you begin residing in the dormitory), the dormitory fee for March will be waived. The full dormitory fee will be charged from April 1 onward.
② Autumn Semester Move-in
Regardless of the actual move-in date (the date you begin residing in the dormitory), dormitory fees will be charged from September 21. The dormitory fee for September is 23,000 yen. The full dormitory fee will be charged from October 1 onward.
■ Move-out Month
Dormitory fees for the move-out month will be calculated based on the criteria shown below.

| Moving-out between 21st and last day of the month | 70,000 yen |

Entrance Fee (Once when moving-in; No refund) 75,000 yen
Monthly Fee (Internet costs included) 75,000 yen

Facilities: Air-conditioner, Bed, Closet, Compact kitchen unit, Bathroom, Toilet, Washstands, Desk, Chair, Bookshelf
Common Facilities: Community room, Communication space, Courtyard, Parking area for bicycles (one for each resident)
The manager resides in the dormitory and is available during office hours. (Security guard does patrol at nighttime.)
