*The program may be cancelled when we have fewer applicants than our set minimum applicants.

*If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, we will conduct an additional selection screening among the applications. In order to maintain diversity of participants, number of participants from one university may be limited. Please understand there is a possibility that one cannot participate even when meeting the criteria.

Eligible Applicant

A current student or graduate of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree program outside of Japan – including but not limited to Sophia partner institutions.

Application Fee

To apply, the payment of application fee is required.

Application Fee 10,000 JPY*

*You cannot proceed with the online application until the payment is completed.
*The application fee is non-refundable.

Program Fee

Participants are to choose one of the following options – a minimum of 2 courses and a maximum of 3 courses:

2 Courses 227,000 JPY*
3 Courses 303,000 JPY*
*The program fees include tuition and domestic insurance and do not include accommodation, textbooks, activities and meals.

Payment

The payment instruction will be announced in the acceptance notice*.

*Designated deadline for the payment is 5 days from the day acceptance notice is sent.
*Only upon completion of the payment, an applicant can secure a spot to participate in the program. Payment must be completed by the designated deadline, or the application itself will be cancelled.
*Applicant will be placed into each course on a first-come-first-served basis of the payment completion.

*For participants who need a visa, it is strongly recommended to make the payment as soon as you receive the acceptance notice in order to proceed with the visa application without delay.

Cancellation Policy [will be updated shortly]

  • Until 5 days prior to the Session Start Date (except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays):
    The registration fee and the handling charge (20,000 yen) will be deducted, and the rest tuition will be reimbursed to you.
  • From 4 days prior to the Session Start Date (except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays):
    No refund will be made from 4 days prior to the Session Start Date.
